Strict Customs regulations in Belgium
Recently Belgian Customs have implemented a more strict policy regarding export procedures.
For all export cargo, with a final destination outside the EU Customs Union, the Shippers (or their customs broker) have to register the export customs documents into the terminal operator’s system.
The terminal operator, at his turn, has to submit this info (before shipment) to the local Customs Authorities.
This communication is mandatory and prior to any terminal-outgoing transport of cargo. More info can be found here
