12/20/2019 MOL acquires full ownership of EML

December 20th, 2019:  
Höegh Autoliners and Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) have signed an agreement whereby MOL will acquire Höegh Autoliners’ 50 percent shareholding in Euro Marine Logistics (EML).
Following the transaction, MOL will become the sole owner of EML and will as part of the agreement take over the entire operations.
Thor Jørgen Guttormsen, CEO of Höegh Autoliners says, “With the agreement in place, it will allow us to fully focus on our core business of deep sea transportation.
We thank Mitsui OSK Lines for our partnership since 2011. Over the years, Euro Marine Logistics has built a strong position in Europe and we are confident that Mitsui OSK Lines will continue to develop its business and capabilities providing the EU short sea market with an efficient network.”
Hirotoshi Ushioku, Executive Officer of MOL’s Car Carrier Division says “We will commit ourselves to maintain and serve the existing customers with EML quality service as sole shareholders of the company.

03/13/2019 NEW Black Sea Service

 EML is proud to announce the start of a new trade into the Black Sea.

As from 16 April 2019 our MV City of Amsterdam will be deployed in the Black Sea area where she will connect Greece with Russia and Ukraine.

The City of Amsterdam is a PCC vessel with 700 CEU and 15MT ramp capacity. She is planned to perform this in a fortnightly service. For getting more info about PCC vessel, visit this website

02/21/2019 Strict Customs regulations in Belgium

Recently Belgian Customs have implemented a more strict policy regarding export procedures. 
For all export cargo, with a final destination outside the EU Customs Union, the Shippers (or their customs broker) have to register the export customs documents into the terminal operator’s system.
The terminal operator, at his turn, has to submit this info (before shipment) to the local Customs Authorities.
This communication is mandatory and prior to any terminal-outgoing transport of cargo. More info can be found here

As from February we will connect Barcelona - Setubal - Sheerness - Grimsby - Tyne - Zeebrugge and Santander on weekly basis. 

This trade will deploy 3 x large vessels.

Euro Marine Logistics NV (EML) is pleased to announce the launching of a new short sea Biscay Trade.

This trade deploys two medium size vessels (1500 CEU) and connects:

Santander (Raos 8) – Zeebrugge (NIT) -Le Havre (RoRo 2/3) -Southampton (Western Docks). 

We offer high frequency of every 4 days , where the full rotation will take 8 days.

From port of Zeebrugge this Biscay Trade can be connected with our Scan Trade with a direct service into Esbjerg, Drammen and Gothenburg and with Baltic Trade which connects in addition Hanko and St. Petersburg.

Our aim is to offer a reliable solution for the transportation of new and used vehicles in the Biscay region with the highest quality and efficiency as in our already existing services.
